Long journeys and many kilometers with Zero Motorcycles: the DSR Black Forest will take you all over the world and on any terrain.

1A EICMA 2019 we interviewed Josef Morat, Regional Manager for Southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, precisely about the potential of electric vehicles in tourist use and trip of Thomas and Dulcie confirmed all theories.

2Limitless adventure

The Black Forest edition DSR is the full optional version ready to go. Equipped with a set of 3 suitcases, the comfort saddle, the leg protection, the depth lights, the adjustable windscreen, the USB socket and the handguards, it is powered by a 52KW (70hp) motor with a range of about 200km in extra-urban use. (80-90km / h average speed.

Driving style has a lot of influence and over time you can earn even 20% more thanks to the experience gained along the way. The DSR Black Forest then travels over 250 km in the city and around 160 km on the motorway at an average of 120 km / h.

In addition, customers have the option of expanding the autonomy either with an additional battery for an increase of about 25%, or by installing the fast charging system for a full charge in just over 2 hours.

3Traveling consciously

Change the way you travel and use it but without it being a problem, just be smart. Planning the journey in stages, also calculating recharges even lower than an hour, allows not only to break the fatigue of the journey but to take advantage of the stops to rest or visit some place along the way. By taking the necessary breaks and recharging the batteries at each stop, you can even exceed 700 km per day, as Joseph Morat was able to experience this summer and as they have shown Thomas and Dulcie on their crossing of the African continent.

Traveling with awareness will involve a different knowledge of the territory, which will allow us to discover places that we would have previously ignored or take advantage of recharging services at accommodation facilities, such as hotels and restaurants that we may not have known about.

The electric revolution will therefore not only lead us to take a different and positive attitude towards the environment but also to reinvent ourselves as travelers. So why not give it a try?
