A recreational-didactic activity which allows pairs, groups e families even with very little children to participate in one of the most significant moments in the wine world and to get to know the realities of family-run wineries.
The activity of "didactic harvest" is a immersive journey which begins with the reception in the cellar, continues in the vineyard with the introduction to the harvest. The central moment is the grape harvesting alongside the producers. At the end of the works, visit and wine tasting. It will be possible to harvest the most famous vines of Langhe Monferrato Roero, depending on the area: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Arneis, Moscato, Favorita, Chardonnay, Pelaverga, Freisa, Bonarda, Ruché, Cortese, Albarossa, Grignolino, Merlot, Pinot grigio, Pinot nero, Sauvignon.
The harvest experience can be combined with one or more additional services proposed by wineries, such as pressing with the feet, welcome breakfast, tasting of typical local products, entertainment and outdoor or wellness activities, such as yoga in the vineyard.
The project is conceived and promoted by Ente Turismo Langhe Monferrato Roero and operationally managed by Piemonte On Wine, with the aim of implement, differentiate and improve the wine tourism product in Langhe Monferrato Roero, as well as increasing the global attractiveness of the destination.
The carrying out of the didactic harvest is regulated by one specific disciplinary drawn up in July 2021 by the Tourism Organization in order to implement the ministerial legislation in force that regulates wine tourism activities. The specification also establishes criteria and standards of safety and quality shared with the wineries.
The didactic harvesting activity is available by reservation at the Piedmont On Wine® Wine Corner, the free booking service for visits and tastings in the cellar managed by Ente Turismo Langhe Monferrato Roero.
