Festivities full of flavors and typical products will greet the summer in Valsugana and welcome the colors of autumn.
A series of unmissable events that will animate the months of September, October and November through the enhancement of the typical products of the area and the proposal of many particularly tasty experiences.
Pumpkin, radicchio and chestnut are just some of the local products that can be tasted during a day trip or a weekend during which to discover the many beauties of the valley and the colorful foliage of the Lagorai woods.
Sunday September 29th the traditional one will take place in Telve Festival of San Michele with tastings in the streets of the town and a colorful farmer's market, where it will be possible to admire skilled artisans carrying out ancient crafts and where there will be entertainment activities for the little ones.
The following Sunday, the 6 October at the river park a bieno, will be the 14th edition of the Radicchio Festival to animate the Valsugana. An event dedicated to local cuisine and the genuine flavors of an ancient culinary tradition. The star of excellence will be radicchio, offered in many tasty forms, from salty to sweet for a complete and truly tasty menu. The festival program also includes a colorful market of local products, a nature walk to discover the surroundings and lots of games for children.
Food and wine festivals continue to Parco 3 Castagni and in the historic center of Pergine Valsugana, where on the weekend fromFrom 11 to 13 October the autumn products will be on stage: pumpkin, honey and chestnuts. Everyone is welcome to participate in the Pumpkin and autumn festival by registering their own pumpkin in the competition organized for the occasion, to let the many visitors of the party admire it and, of course, have it judged. In the rich program of the event there will also be creative workshops for adults and children, themed exhibitions, demonstrations of ancient crafts, crafts, musical moments and lots of gastronomy.
From the 26 27 October will come back to Roncegno la Chestnut Festival, which has now reached its 40th edition. The event celebrates the ancient tradition of growing this product on the slopes of the mountain that rises above the town. A rich area dedicated to gastronomy will offer a wide choice of chestnut based sweets, it will also be possible taste some excellent roasted chestnuts accompanied by mulled wine. The streets of the center will be animated by a colorful market and by many activities with waders, face painting, and workshops.
The festival of autumn flavors will end in Castelnuovo, which from the 9 10 November will host the traditional gastronomic event of Festival of San Leonardo, a unique opportunity to taste the typical "Pezate de agnelo", cooked according to the ancient recipes of our grandparents.
