All in a breathtaking location surrounded by greenery, the Poggio della Pieve, a few minutes from the sea and from the village of Andrea Bocelli, Lajatico. The ingredients for a perfect weekend of motorcycles, wellness and adventure are all there.
In a hot July wekeend we get into the car to reach i wonderful Pisan hills. After about 3 hours we arrive at Poggio della Pieve, the wonderful location Tuscany chosen by Toni Merendino for his courses. However, remember that the courses of TOM42 they take place all year round even in equally beautiful areas of Italy, including the Sardegna, and abroad.

Arrival at Poggio della Pieve
Waiting for us in addition to Toni e Dario Fortini (owner of the farm) we find Alessandro Botturi, as good as he is friendly and helpful. So we take the opportunity to get a little explained there motorcycle and how it behaves off-road, to then move on to the day's program.

The typical school day and Alessandro Botturi's program include a short ride to understand the bike and "make friends" with the Tenére 700, which you can take to rental from TOM42 or participate with your bike of any brand. Then you move on to the field dedicated to exercises, where you can learn the basics of off-road driving and the secrets of the more technical passages.
The next phase is instead dedicated to the tour, always in the company of Botturi and the Yamaha guides, to discover the beautiful areas of the Pisan Hills. The dirt roads are simple and dusty, but the landscapes are simply magnificent. The succession of fields, hills, rows of cypresses and villages ancient is a real thrill and a panacea for the soul. Between the pleasure of riding a motorcycle and the beauty of the place, the rally-raid Experience also becomes very zen and "musical" when we pass through the village of Bocelli, lajatico, and from the Theater of Silence.
If you want something instead more technical, just ask and you will be taken where they dare Tenére 700 and the pilots with more experience. At this juncture Botturi he never stops observing you and correcting any mistakes you may have or advising you on the best setting. Upon returning, after so much dust, we all find ourselves in the beautiful Swimmingpool to admire the sunset over the Tuscan hills.

While the Tenére 700 confirms its off-road nature, not only for its ability to tackle any type of terrain, but above all for its own ease of use and its handling, together with the ever-present but never aggressive engine. In addition, the bike, with minor modifications, is also suitable for the female audience who wants to ride on gravel; for some more adventure.

The Poggio della Pieve
The 700th century farmhouse is located on the "Poggio" della Pieve and is made up of a central body and a cottage, which are located not far from the village of Pieve Santa Luce in the province of Pisa. Surrounded by olive trees and durum wheat fields owned by the residence, on hot summer days you can enjoy the wonderful swimming pool overlooking the hills. The 2008 renovation has kept the original materials, transforming the farmhouse into a holiday home. The furnishings in Tuscan rustic style are meticulous in detail. Il Poggio della Pieve has apartments of various types furnished in rustic Tuscan style, equipped with every comfort, private garden and for some of these also the terrace, they can accommodate from 2 to 10 people.
