The compact tail and the LED turn signals complete the silhouette in which the muscular central part appears visually projected forward in the maximum expression of dynamism.

The engine of the new sports car
The GSX-S1000 inherits the engine and character of the exuberant, multi-victorious GSX-R lineage and some solutions developed for MotoGP competitions with adaptation to road use. The legendary four-cylinder Suzuki is Euro 5 approved and earns a more full-bodied and regular delivery, with a more generous low and mid-range torque and a greater propensity to draw.
To meet stringent emissions standards and increase performance at the same time, engineers have modified the profile of the camshafts, the exhaust system and the air filter box. The Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) adds an assist function to the previous model's slipper clutch and makes lever operation lighter.
Electronics at the pilot's service
The GSX-S1000 is equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), which integrates numerous advanced electronic systems. These devices allow the rider to develop an immediate confidence with the bike and to exploit its enormous potential with a reduced physical and mental effort.
The electronic throttle control ride-by-wire ensures exceptional sensitivity and interfaces with the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS). This system allows you to choose at any time between three modes with different delivery characteristics and thus to adapt the engine response to the situation to be faced or to the driving style.
Five are the settings provided for the new Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), which allow the rider to make the intervention of the system that limits the rear wheel slip faster and more proactive. The traction control can be deactivated if necessary, just like the new system "Quick change"- Bidirectional Quick Shift System, thanks to which you can switch to the upper or lower gear without the need to use the clutch. The GSX-S1000 also comes standard with systems Suzuki Easy Start and Low RPM Assist, which make starting and departures easier.
Ergonomics and chassis
A redesigned riding position and the extraordinary qualities of the chassis also favor the perfect symbiosis between the rider and the bike. The handlebar widens by 23 mm, has the ends slightly raised compared to the past and approaches the saddle plane by 20 mm, in turn redesigned to offer greater support in the rear area. The result of this careful ergonomic study it is an upright posture, which improves the sense of mastery and comfort, thanks to a more favorable lever arm when maneuvering from a standstill and at reduced speed.
The frame maintains the typical structure a double aluminum beam, which directly connects the steering head to the swingarm pivot, derived from that of the GSX-R1000. This conformation combines lightness and stiffness to offer excellent maneuverability and solid road holding at any pace.
The suspensions are fully adjustable in spring preload and hydraulics and have an unprecedented calibration, tuned according to the characteristics of the new ones. radial tires Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 developed specifically for the GSX-S1000.
