The HAT Sanremo Sestriere will take place from 4 to 6 September and in our video we give you all the information and news of this 2020 edition.
This year the cursed Covid broke everyone's legs and put a spoke in the wheels of those who have always gone out of their way to entertain us. The HAT circuit had to give up the splendid Pavia Sanremo, which inevitably has been postponed to next year.
In any case, we, like you, never give up and we will be in the saddle to participate in this splendid and fun event, to try the Honda Dominator that Amir Aiesi di Solo has prepared for us. Motorcycle preparations (then we will show it to you in detail) and to tell you almost directly the path and many other things.
Here we summarize the highlights of this 2020 edition:
THEemergency of the moment forced the organizer to make some structural changes that will please the participants, who this year for safety reasons have been limited to a maximum number of 350 motorcyclists. The biggest news concerns the meeting point and center of activities di Friday e Saturday, in a new location but always on the sea of Sanremo. This year theHAT VILLAGE will be set up near the POSTAGES, one of the most prestigious private ports in the Mediterranean, located right next to the center of the City of Flowers. The Portosole area will welcome all participants with its elegance and its yachts in an exclusive setting.
Among the novelties of the route, a new stop / refreshment point on Saturday evening which for this edition will be for the first time in BOVES, near Cuneo, where a tent will be specially set up in the suggestive central square to give hospitality to all the participants who have reached about halfway. The passage of the Extreme trails e Classic from Gallery of the Saracens, to enjoy the beautiful stretch of about 23 km of the Alta Val di Susa Which unites Salbertrand a Bardonecchia. Other minor traits, but always interesting and improving quality, have been added to enrich the routes.
Once again they will be three: i itineraries is preferably used for HARDALPITOUR, which differ by length e difficulties. Each team (minimum 3 drivers) will be able to choose the most appropriate route, according to their personal desire for challenge:
- EXTREME - a "marathon" trip of 40-42 hours that winds its way over a distance of about 900 km. Departure suggestive at midnight on Friday under the spotlights of the stage in the HAT Village, in the presence of fans and onlookers. The route includes a long night section with lots of off-road vehicles in Liguria and a short rest in Garessio. After traveling the legendary Via del Sale, the descent towards Boves begins for the second stop. Here the route joins the other two, before the arrival in Sestriere scheduled for early Sunday afternoon, exclusively the long final tour in Alta Val di Susa with the passage in the Saracens Gallery;
- CLASSIC - a 24-hour ride in the saddle, with a part of driving at night, on a distance of about 560 km. Facing the Classic means experiencing the HARDALPITOUR as it was originally conceived, ensuring all the emotions of this unforgettable experience. The departure will take place on Saturday from the stage at the HAT Village, with arrival in Sestriere in the early afternoon of Sunday;
- DISCOVERY - the "easy" route of the HARDALPITOUR will cover about 420 km, with an overnight stop in Boves: the ideal route for those who want to participate in the event with less effort, while still living the experience. The first part of the route, up to Boves, will coincide with the Classic route. After the rest, the restart on Sunday morning will allow participants to reach Sestriere following a smoother path. Discovery can also be taken individually.
From an organizational point of view, today even more important given the Covid19 restrictions, the massive presence of about 50 staff members di Base Luna - the Piedmontese Civil Protection Association specialized in motorcycle events - will guarantee maximum safety for all participants. Each team will receive GPS trackers through which the organization will monitor in real time the localization in the area and the sending of any immediate requests for assistance to the HAT Operations Center in case of need.
La 12 edition area of HARDALPITOUR will see the presence of several PARTNERS, Many consolidated and some new that have strongly believed in HAT project. Among the "historians" are reconfirmed GARMIN (GPS navigators), T.UR (clothing), ANLAS (tires), KLIM (clothing), ENDURISTAN (accessories) is MOTOR BIKE EXPO (fair event). Important names such as SUZUKI (motorcycle), NOLAN (helmets) is SHAD (motorcycle suitcases).
