La strada

The road leading to the Colle reaches an altitude of 2.612 meters within the Gran Paradiso National Park. Access to the hill is possible using the SSP 460 for Ceresole Reale (TO) where you can admire the very suggestive lake of the same name. Continuing beyond the inhabited area of ​​Ceresole, the road winds for about twenty kilometers that lead you to climb for a thousand meters in altitude up to the hill, very closely following two lakes artificial (Serrù and Agnel lakes) serving the production of electricity. The road passes over the hill and stops shortly after the Albergo Savoia Refuge, on the Valle d'Aosta side.

The Colle del Nivolet is characterized by a vast prairie dotted with numerous ponds and peat bogs and crossed by the Dora del Nivolet. The hill is famous for its pristine alpine lakes.
