The Passo di Pramollo, Nassfled in German, is a suggestive mountain pass with a splendid lake where you can stop by motorbike.
The small lake is the first thing you notice, coming both from the north (from Austria) and from the south. In a splendid position among the peaks, it is the ideal place for a stop and some unique photos.

The road from the South
The pass, well known among skiers precisely because it is open all year round (but beware of the ice), is a true oasis of peace. Starting from Pontebba, the road is very demanding and at times even dangerous, especially due to the poor conditions of the road surface, which in spring also has gravel and dirt. The hairpin bends are tight and traffic can get heavy during the summer.
Once you reach the top, luckily you will be immersed in nature, among peaks, trees and the splendid small lake Nassfeld, very popular for fishing and for refreshing summer baths. There are also numerous donkeys that graze in the surroundings, but be careful of the temper, they do not like to be disturbed (rightly).
Useful Tips
If you decide to cross the border, the descent to Tröpolach is instead quieter and the road very well maintained, also because from this side you find the largest ski area in Carinthia.
Furthermore, while Lake Nassfeld is obviously very freezing even in summer, you can stretch as far as Hermagor to dive into Lake Pressegger, called the Carinthian bathtub, as its waters reach up to 28 ° C. in summer.
