A tribute to Africa Twin customers to celebrate the victory of the Dakar 2020
Until February 15, the 'rally' platforms are free for those who buy an Africa Twin.
American rider Ricky Brabec, riding the Monster Energy Honda Team's CRF450 Rally, won the Dakar Rally 2020 in Saudi Arabia. The return to victory in the toughest motorcycle rally in the world is a milestone that Honda and HRC have been chasing since 2013, the year of their official return to the Dakar. The last victory dates back to 31 years ago, when Gilles Lalay triumphed in 1989, after the affirmations of Cyril Neveu (1982, 1986, 1987) and Edi Orioli (1988).
To celebrate the long-awaited success of 2020 also together with the many customers african twin, Honda Motor Europe Ltd. Italy offers free, included in the purchase price of the motorcycle, to all buyers of the CRF1100L Africa Twin - the more off-road oriented version - the steel rally footpegs, characterized by the absence of the rubber footrest and with a greater extension in width and length, such as to increase the grip of the stivali, especially in standing driving, typical of off-road driving.
The homage covers all versions of the standard CRF1100L Africa Twin model - the most off-road oriented - both with manual gearbox and DCT dual-clutch gearbox, even in the Travel Edition and Desert Track versions. The initiative does not involve the CRF1100L Adventure Sports model.
