Back off-road with Yamaha. Also in this 2023, on 25 March in Maggiora, the off-road season opens with lots of experiences for everyone.
In the Off-Road Arena, in Pragiarolo (NO), all lovers of the plug and more will be able to spend an intense day and bring home a unique experience tailored to the degree of technical preparation, the needs and the desire to share the own passion.
Inside the Yamaha Village – designed and built to give everyone the opportunity to have fun, learn something and start planning some adventures on the Ténéré saddle – there will be driving and navigation courses, test laughs not only with the motorcycle Adventure, but also with ATV, e-Bike, Side By Side and the first approaches on two wheels for the little ones.
Those who don't ride motorcycles can have fun on the ATV simulator and spend a wonderful day outdoors, with dj sets, live music, street food and show moments with breathtaking performances.
Like last year, professional instructors able to put anyone on knobby wheels will explain the basics to perform the first exercises on tape.
And for those who want to try their first contact with off-road driving, they can participate in the driving course by TOM42. If the intention is to learn the basics to face an adventure journey, the Bushcraft & Ténéré course by Di Traverso Adventouring it will be perfect: the first basic techniques for living on an adventure. The course with the is dedicated to Flat Track lovers Traverso School with the teacher Marco Belli who, on an oval track created especially for the occasion, will make his experience available to teach drift control. There will also be room for one advanced off-road course, for more experienced pilots with dedicated instructors.
Indispensable when traveling by motorbike, or to participate in off-road competitions, is having a correct preparation on navigation: Yamaha, in partnership with Garmin, has also thought about this aspect and offers Maggiora the teaeast ride on the road with navigation course by Moto Raid Experience. The multi-champion will give all the explanations necessary to be able to orient oneself and to read a road map Alessandro Botturi, present at the event and available to enthusiasts.
Same fun, with two more wheels, aboard the Yamaha ATVs, for which there will be a special path available to those who are curious to understand the power and performance of these vehicles. Those who want to experience the flavor of the virtual challenge can try their hand at the simulator and demonstrate what fabric it is made of. On the mighty YXZ1000R, on the other hand, you will be able to experience a lot of adrenaline, alongside a professional pilot, therefore in the passenger's shoes.
Since the context is perfect, for the first time, Yamaha e-bikes will also be available for a test. In the natural beauty that distinguishes the theater area of the event, the Moor and Wabash they will be appreciated on routes specifically designed for these models.
The event is an experience not to be missed even for little riders who with the Junior Moto School they will be able to test in all safety i PW50 and TTR125 made available for very young riders from 6 years old. The little ones can practice with the balance bikes in a path specially created to have the most of fun.
Thanks to the agreement YAMAHA – ACI Sport, for the second year, the program aimed at finding and developing new talent on 4 wheels continues, starting from the universe of Side By Side. It will take place on March 25 in Maggiora 1st Stage 2023 which will see the first group of young riders on the track aboard the YXZ1000Rs equipped with Pirelli tyres, 4-wheel partner par excellence to guarantee maximum performance.
The Yamaha staff will be present for any type of assistance, they will intervene to illustrate the characteristics of each vehicle, the needs of maintenance and the correct use of accessories and specific items. This is why the appointment will also be labeled Yamalube, which represents the special range of oils and products for the care and cleaning of all media.
To participate in the test rides it will be necessary to register on the site and meet the following requirements:
- for the Moto Test Rides each participant must be equipped with suitable motorcycle licence and must have theclothing technical necessary property, protections and helmet;
- for the Flat Track each participant must be equipped with motorcycle license, must have thetechnical clothing necessary property, protections and helmet and the high personal boot will also be mandatory;
- for the ATV you will need to be of age, have the driving license B, wear your own long clothing and helmet;
- dedicated technical clothing will be required for eBikes. The helmet can be provided on site.
Test ride openings will be communicated through social channels and bookings can be made on the site dedicated.
It will be possible to register directly on site to participate in the initiatives of the Junior Moto School (which will provide protections and helmets to the children) and to board the Side by Side as passengers. Minors must be accompanied by their parents, who will be responsible for signing the release of liability.
All those who register on the Yamaha website will be able to participate in the competition “Hunt for BLUE TICKET”* and will have as a gift, while stocks last, a welcome kit full of gadgets dedicated to the event that can be collected at the entrance to the village. Only 5 lucky people will find the BLUE TICKET which will give the opportunity to win a voucher worth 100 euros, which can be spent directly at the Temporary Shop in Maggiora or at all official Yamaha dealers. Anyone will be able to discover and buy the lines and garments in the Temporary and go home satisfied.
And since it will be a memorable day, Yamaha has also thought about how to preserve its memory: it will be created a site where all the photos of the event will be uploaded, each participant will have a QR code that will allow them to download the images once they get home.
To get the adrenaline flowing again and challenge the stopwatch, even the Prologue Tenere Challenge, the first round of the season reserved for drivers registered for the Tenerè Challenge. On a specially developed course, the practice rounds and the final timed session will be held which will decide the winners of the day. At the end of the event, the award ceremony will be held for the first three drivers classified in the PRO and GPX classes.
They will participate in the appointment, as partners of Yamaha, Garmin, with the Montana and Zumo devices tested; Dunlop, with the high-performance D908RR tires specially developed for rally-raid off-road; Airoh, with a dedicated space where i helmets from the Off Road 2023 collection (Aviator 3, the top of the range; Strycker; Twist 2.0; Wrap, the dual Commander model and the new masks Blast XR1); Formaboots will display the collection of stivali in the Temporary Shop. It will also offer the public the opportunity to try the Adventure line during test rides and to purchase it at a promotional price.
