The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is designed for the most demanding travelers, who want to reach the most distant destinations, even as a couple, without stopping at nothing.
Better comfort for rider and passenger and greater autonomy, thanks to the 30-liter fuel tank and the new extended deactivation strategy, for the first time on a production bike, which switches off the rear bank of the V4 Granturismo even on the move. With the "Rally" Ducati takes the globetrotter spirit of the Multistrada V4 to an even higher level, thanks to improved comfort for rider and passenger, greater autonomy and a more pronounced off-road aptitude . The result is a motorcycle at ease on dirt roads as in modern metropolises: the perfect choice for those who want to reach any destination with maximum comfort and safety, without sacrificing the typical Ducati riding emotions. And as on the whole Multistrada V4 family, performance (170 HP), reliability and running costs (Intervals of maintenance every 60.000 km and Oil Service every 15.000 km / 24 months) are excellent.
Living up to its name, the Multistrada V4 in the “Rally” model is a bike that further improves its ability to tackle all roads, especially unpaved ones. This Multistrada can indeed count on semi-active suspension with travel increased to 200 mm which guarantee a superior ground clearance, on a unpublished Power Mode dedicated to off-road , its wider rider footpegs, with more marked profile and removable rubber insert Skyhook DSS EVO control strategy, even more precise and efficient in this model.
The Multistrada V4 Rally is also equipped with an Autoleveling function, which guarantees a constant attitude as the rider, passenger and luggage configuration changes, in order to always keep the characteristics of the vehicle unchanged. The off-road attitude increases with the Multistrada V4 Rally thanks also to lightened spoke wheels as standard and reinforced engine guards. With the new 30 liter aluminum tank, which integrates harmoniously into the muscular and elegant shapes of the bike, it is possible to increase the distances that can be traveled between one refueling and the next: the new Multistrada V4 Rally is thus ready to tackle even the most remote roads.
The Multistrada V4 Rally is the ideal bike for traveling as a couple and has been designed to bring the comfort of the pilot and his travel companion to the highest level. In this sense, the windshield has been redesigned (increased by 40 mm in height and 20 mm in width), the tail has been lengthened and the suitcase attachment set back to offer more space in the leg area for the passenger, who can also count on footrests with oversized rubber insert to reduce the level of transmitted vibrations. Furthermore, thanks to the availability of saddles of different heights for both the rider and the passenger and the lowered suspension kit, the Multistrada V4 Rally can be customized to adapt to any torque configuration.
La Minimum Preload function , already introduced on the Multistrada V4 S in 2022, allows the rider to “lower” the bike when stopping and when traveling at low speed, minimizing the preload of the shock absorber. The Multistrada V4 Rally goes a step further in terms of ease of use by introducing the Easy Lift function which, by opening the suspension hydraulics at key-on, reduces the effort required to lift the motorcycle from the side stand thanks to the compression of the fork and shock absorber. In addition, to facilitate the loading and unloading of the side cases and facilitate any maintenance on long journeys away from home, the central stand is standard.
The Ducati Multistrada family confirms itself as a reference from a technological and safety point of view also with the Rally model. The Multistrada V4 was the first bike in the world equipped with a front and rear radar system to support Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) systems, which makes driving less tiring on long road sections, and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), which signals the presence of approaching vehicles in the blind spot of the mirrors. The 6,5 inch color TFT dashboard offers cartographic navigation functions thanks to the Ducati Connect application, which also supports the use of the telephone to answer calls or listen to music, using a helmet equipped with an intercom system.
To further support active safety, the Multistrada V4 Rally also integrates theABS cornering, which allows you to exploit the braking power of your system even when leaning, the Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), which improve night visibility by illuminating the inside curve, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Ducati Traction Control (DTC). These systems use the inertial platform (IMU) to optimize intervention based on the lean and pitch angle of the vehicle.
To make the most of the potential of the Multistrada V4 in every context, Ducati has developed four Riding Modes (Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro), which they see on the Multistrada V4 Rally an important evolution of the Enduro mode . Selecting the Enduro Riding Mode activates a dedicated Power Mode, which limits the power to 114 HP with a dynamic and direct response. The DSS Evolution is prepared for off-road driving by indicating the load mode with a specific icon, depicting an off-road helmet. The DTC switches to a lower level of intervention and the DWC is deactivated. ABS on the rear wheel is also deactivated and cornering functionality and rear lift detection are inhibited to adapt to off-road use.
The Multistrada V4 Rally also introduces a new strategy of extended deactivation of the rear bank, a technical solution that debuts for the first time on a production bike in the whole world panorama . In addition to switching off the rear cylinders at idle with the bike stationary, a feature already present on the Multistrada V4, the V4 Granturismo now keeps the rear bank deactivated in other operating conditions to the advantage of fuel consumption and emissions. With this new strategy, deactivation takes place even with the bike in motion: as speed increases or above a certain power request from the throttle grip, the rear cylinders are reactivated, guaranteeing the character and performance of the V4 Granturismo. The system is active in all Riding Modes.
Il 4 cm V1.158 Granturismo engine3 delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10.750 rpm and 121 Nm (12,3 kgm) at 8.750 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve to ensure a smooth and progressive response at all speeds. The performance of this engine, combined with its total weight of only 66,7 kg, allow the V4 Granturismo to confirm itself as the reference in the category for power and lightness. These numbers are combined with refined technical solutions, such as the counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from the experience gained by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, which works “against” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, but also the torque curves dedicated to each single ratio to combine smooth delivery at low revs, robustness of torque in the mid-range and power at highs.
At the chassis level, the Multistrada V4 Rally confirms the monocoque aluminum frame, light and compact, with a double-sided swingarm cast in an aluminum shell. The Multistrada V4 Rally is offered exclusively with tubeless spoke rims, redesigned and lightened to improve the dynamic qualities of the bike.
The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is offered in three different set-ups: Adventure Radar, equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, Adventure Travel & Radar, which adds aluminum side cases, heated grips and saddles, while the full adventure completes this latter equipment with the approved Akrapovič silencer and the carbon fiber front mudguard.
