Motor Bike Expo 2020: the wait is now spasmodic, the enthusiasm skyrocketing!
100.000 square meters dedicated to the event, seven pavilions; five outdoor areas; over 700 exhibitors (including the most important manufacturers) from 35 countries; thousand of motorcycle exposed; and then still previews, shows, awards, meetings and people loved by the public.
Motor Bike Expo is the most sparkling, free, engaging international motorcycle show that can be conceived. The key numbers for 2019 are now history (170.000 visitors and 700 brands present, from all over the world) and the challenge towards new goals has already begun.
The staff that organizes MBE, led by the creators of the show, Paola Somma and Francesco Agnoletto, worked a whole year to make the product more and more a memorable experience: in short, in Verona, in January, motorcycle enthusiasts meet to experience a I dream but with my feet firmly planted on the ground (indeed, on the platforms).
1Lots of activities thanks to the partnership with Jeep
Even Jeep, an absolute reference in the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) sector for eighty years, is a partner of Motor Bike Expo 2020. Many activities are scheduled, the static display of the different models but also test-drives, to try the cars of the Jeep range, in an area set up in the external spaces of Veronafiere on an obstacle course, between winding ups and downs, accompanied by official instructors for all four days of the event.
Other partners of MBE 2020 are, in the field of communication, Virgin Radio, which is confirmed as the official radio of the event, and the new Sport Mediaset.
The presence of the Italian Motorcycle Federation is even more massive, which for years has maintained collaboration and exchange relationships with Motor Bike Expo. In addition to the usual exhibition space, Federmoto, always present in the places where passion beats the strongest, will be clearly visible with its own awards and presentations (CIV and championships for vintage motorcycles above all) but has also organized a series during the days of MBE of meetings and technical meetings, also promoted by the promoters of the various championships with the organizers of the individual competitions, which increasingly bind the highest national institution with the Verona show.
2Parties for fans
As always oriented towards the purest enthusiasts, to whom it also offers an opportunity to meet at the beginning of the year, in an informal atmosphere, marked by friendship and cordiality, in the 2020 Motor Bike Expo proposes two evenings of celebration. Both Friday and Saturday, from 19.00 to 22.00, in the area specially set up between pavilions 1 and 2, visitors who are already inside the exhibition center will be able to participate in an evening meeting animated by the performances of the stuntmen and Dj-set , with an inevitable party area. On Friday the party will be dedicated to 50 years of Custom Chrome while on Saturday the protagonist of the evening will be the Motor Bike Expo itself.
3The main companies present a Verona
BMW Motorrad it is one of the permanent appearances of pavilion 4 where it has often reserved surprises for enthusiasts, in the form of specials. This year the German manufacturer will bring the entire R NineT range, the Option 719 collection of special customization parts (also available on on / offroad models, such as the sales champion R 1250 GS). There is expectation for the probable Italian premiere of the R18 / 2 custom concept and for the presence of other custom factories coming directly from Monaco.
In the spotlight of Harley-Davidson the news of today and tomorrow. Among others, there will be the new one Low Rider S, the Touring 2020 platform, the exclusive models CVO in limited series and LiveWire, the first full electric in Milwaukee that has recently reached dealerships. The models are equipped with the new system of safety for the Reflex Defensive Rider System rider. The near future is represented by the Pan America prototypes, the brand new Adventure Touring with a 76 cubic inch (1.250 cc) Revolution Max engine that takes the Motor Company to new - and certainly less asphalted roads; and the streetfighter Bronx, also equipped with the new V-twin Revolution Max in the displacement of 59 cubic inches (975 cc).
In the space Moto Guzzi the V85 TT is presented in the new Travel version, ready for the journey thanks to its complete set-up. Mandello's best seller cannot be missing, the Moto Guzzi V7 III, present in the new Stone S version, a sportier and more refined interpretation of the “settemmezzo” dell'Aquila, made in a limited edition of only 750 numbered copies. After the great success of the inaugural edition in 2019, the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance Trophy rekindles the engines: the 2020 season will be presented on Friday 17 January at 11 am.
One of the points of great interest in Hall 4 will also be the stand of Royal Enfield, which will exhibit 25 motorcycles, 18 of which will be modified with customization kits taken from the catalog accessories of the Indian House. On the occasion of the MBE, Royal Enfield will also present 6 custom liveries with unique liveries and the Royal Enfield Nought Tea GT, the beautiful retro-racer based on Continental GT 650 made by Harris Performance. The motorcycles on display can be purchased by any dealer who will join the customization project scheduled for 2020.
Also in Hall 4, too Triumph Motorcycles will exhibit the three special TFC (Triumph Factory Custom) versions of the Thruxton, Bobber and Rocket III models. A national first also for the Hinckley manufacturer, with the new Tiger 900 Rally Pro and GT Pro. These are potential protagonists of the Italian market in the off-road segment, the most requested in the last twelve months. Triumph also and above all means modern classic, so don't miss the Bonneville T120 Special Edition dedicated to Bud Ekins, American off-road icon and Steve McQueen's racing partner; and the Scrambler 1200 XC and XE. The powerful Rocket III performance cruiser in the GT and R versions will also be noted.
Among the highly prestigious brands, the Italian also confirms its presence FB Mondial. The stand in Hall 4 will be the red carpet of the 2020 range, with the new 1948 cc Pagani 300, the SMX, the Sport Classic 125 and the “nude” HPS CBS and ABS 125; and the 300 cc HPS. There will be two previews for the MBE: the brand new Flat Track 125, which will be released on the market in spring; and the “VentiVenti” show bike.
Honda confirms its presence in style in Hall 5 with the largest stand of Motor Bike Expo. Visitors will be able to admire the entire 2020 range of the Golden Wing, from the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, Africa Twin CRF1100L (the most anticipated maxienduro of the year) and CMX500 Rebel, to the new colors of the CB1000R naked. For Enduro and Motocross fans, don't miss the Honda off-road racing parade by Redmoto. Another big attraction of the Honda exhibit space will be the motorcycles that have raced in MotoGP, MXGP, EnduroGP and Rally in 2019.
At the MBE we will also see the new models on display Kawasaki, including the naked Z900 and Z650, the modern classic W800 and the sport tourer Ninja 1000 SX. One of the bikes that will warm up the smartphone cameras the most will undoubtedly be the Kawasaki Z H2, the only maxinaked in the world equipped with a Supercharger. For fans who visit its stand, Kawasaki promises other surprises; inside there will be the Lime Green shop, where it will be possible to buy clothing and official merchandising.
Husqvarna, represented by Gabrielli Racing Team, will exhibit some of the latest models in the 2020 range such as the Svartpilen 701, 701 Supermoto and 701 Enduro.
At the stand Aprilia of hall 6 the great protagonist is the new and highly anticipated Aprilia RS 660, a sports car born around the new 660 parallel twin cylinder. Space also for the renewed V4 range, with the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory which, thanks to the semi-active suspension, becomes even more effective track and enjoyable on the road. Then the proposals for the youngest, with the 125 range and the great novelty of the Aprilia FMI Sport Production Championship, a single-make series with which Aprilia intends to bring the very young back to the track, to discover new Italian talents who will be the champions of tomorrow. The championship will be presented on Saturday 18 January, at 12 noon.
Benelli presents itself in Hall 6 of the MBE with the new 752S, a muscular naked arriving on the Italian market in the coming weeks and which reaffirms the Pesaro-based company in the medium-displacement segment; and the modern classic Leoncino 800, with an immediately recognizable style. Alongside them will be, among others, the best-selling TRK 502 e TRK502X, Leoncino and Leoncino Trail and the BN125. Also on display is the 502C, the first cruiser of the Pesaro brand; and the Imperiale 400, a classic for free spirits. For the entire duration of the MBE, fans of the brand will be able to benefit from a promotion on the purchase of accessories, clothing and merchandising.
Also in hall 6, Yamaha awaits motorcyclists with all the news of the 2020 range, including the naked MT-03 and MT-125, the Tracer 700, the TMAX 560 and the Tricity 300. Being the Motor Bike Expo, you can't miss an excursion among the specials. Directly from the world of Faster Sons the presence of two customizations based on XSR700: the “Violante” made by Garage 221 and the “Sette” by D&G Motorsport, which will represent Italy in the “Back to the Dirt” contest. In addition to the Yamaha Store, there will also be a lot of racing at the center of the presence of the Tre Diapason brand.
A presence… silent, but always very interesting in the pad. 6 that of Zero Motorcycles, through the EcoZero dealer in Verona. Among the motorcycles on display, the SR / F, Zero Motorcycles' flagship model and recently named Electric Bike of the Year by the important British magazine MCN. Space for custom with the Rugged, the special built by E-Racer based on FXS. Saturday 18 January, the second edition of #ZeroOff will be presented on the MBE stage in pavilion 7, a ride event that over time could become a real #TrofeoZero dedicated to full electric motorcyclists.
Interesting news also among the clothing and accessories brands. Not only on the market: Dainese brings to MBE its "Double Experience, which will allow enthusiasts to visit both the show (where it is present with its stand in Hall 6) and the brand new DAR, the Dainese ARchivio di Vicenza, on the same day, at no additional cost and with a number of advantages. On Friday 17th and Saturday 18th January, at 9 am a shuttle transfer will depart from the Veronafiere entrance to accompany visitors to visit the Dainese Store and DAR in Vicenza. Once the experience is over, around 12.00 the same bus will bring the participants back to MBE, who will be free to visit the show until 19, closing time. The Dainese ARchivio is a permanent exhibition that presents the ideas, innovations, people and projects that have made Dainese a brand known throughout the world.
For its part, in addition to the helmets and technical clothing from the 2020 range, the Spanish brand LS2 Helmets will present its own collection of gloves: nine models of gloves for both winter and summer use. As for the novelties, the new models for the Urban Commuter and Road Touring sectors are worth mentioning.
Even this year Intercom will be present at MBE with two stands, one dedicated to Interphone products and the other to WayOut, the new project designed for lovers of travel on two wheels. These are 4 5-star tours organized between road and offroad routes in dream locations, during which it will be possible to test the products of partner brands such as Yamaha, Airoh, Continental and TomTom. Friday 17 Andrea Perfetti of Moto.it will present the WayOut tours with the possibility of winning a prize offered by Interphone and the other sponsors. Saturday 18th at 16.00 pm, “Share your passion” moment with Maurizio Vettor.
GIVI will present the 2020 collection at MBE, in the foreground the new Trekker Alaska aluminum suitcases, attention to the female world with full-face and jet helmets from the Mendhi and Lady ranges; and the Ultima-T soft bags, in 11 different models. A Moto Guzzi V 5 TT with ad hoc accessories will be set up on the stand in Hall 850.
Metzeler will return to MBE (in hall 2) with an evocative American Airstream where it will exhibit the range of “Cruising & Heavy Tourers” tires: the new Cruisetec dual compound, the best seller ME 888 Marathon Ultra and the classic Perfect ME 77 Cruising. Two customized Harley-Davidsons were present at the stand: a Dyna Street Bob Club Style from the Milanese workshop DynaMIte Garage; and a Night Rod Special from the Aprilia (LT) ED Special Custom tuner. At "Vernice & Benzina" on Thursday evening Metzeler will present the special Q Project with the Milanese customizer Andrea Radaelli / Radikal Chopper, equipped with the new supersport tires Sportec M9RR.
Michelin will present in hall 4 two new ranges dedicated to the road and track motorcycle sector, Power 5 and Power Cup 2. For fans of custom bikes, starting from Friday in the stand where the new Michelin Commander III Cruiser and Commander III Custom tires will be exhibited, various exponents of the world of "street art" will alternate and create "live" works dedicated to the custom world.
On Saturday 18 January at 15.30 pm, the popular youtuber Alberto “Naska” Fontana will be the special guest of Stylmartin, the brand of technical footwear for motorbikes inspired by streetwear and vintage style, for a “meet and greet” with the public.
The specialist in vehicular radio communication Midland presents its line of intercoms and other new proposals dedicated to the world of two wheels in Hall 6 of the MBE. Among which the pair of walkie talkies "Adventure", excellent support for those who love to face big raids.
World SBK rider Leon Camier and Andrea Locatelli of Supersport will meet racing fans in theAiroh Tech Truck, respectively in the afternoon of Thursday 16 and Saturday 18. The Italian helmet brand uses its structure for the MBE, usually used to assist the riders and their teams in the paddocks, as a real mobile showroom 13 meters long. During the four days of the MBE, over 30 Airoh Twist 2.0 helmets will color Verona red, located in the windows of the most important shops in the center.
4The area for the sale of used motorcycles
A MBE 2020 It is also possible to sell your own motorbike (both as private individuals and as dealers) or buy a used one, taking advantage of truly precious opportunities. All this takes place in the sales area, at pad. 7, managed by moto.it specialists.
