Thirty thousand arrived from all over Europe to celebrate a classic, and now indispensable, appointment for those who love the motorcycle.
From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 September the Moto Guzzi plant in Mandello was peacefully invaded by motorcyclists and enthusiasts but also by families and caravans of friends. All in Mandello to celebrate one of the most noble brands in motorcycling, one of the most famous and loved Italian brands. It was three days of love for motorcycles, friendship, music, travel, adventure and lots of test rides.
As always, the central moment of the Mandellese festival was Saturday, a day that recorded the record attendance - 20 thousand - in a single day and which opened with the arrival of the caravan "Road to Mandello", with over two hundred Guzzisti who left Milan to join the legendary red door of via Parodi, the symbol of Moto Guzzi.
The absolute protagonist of the 2019 edition was the Moto Guzzi V85 TT, the all-terrain which, presented during this year, is already the brand's best seller and one of the most admired bikes this season.
The V7 III was among the most requested bikes in tests and also one of the stars, given that in 2019 the first edition of the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance, the trophy that puts on the track, suitably kittata, precisely the light 750cc twin cylinder. The bikes of the Trophy attracted the admiring glances of many visitors, while the riders and crews of the Fast Endurance met in Mandello waiting for the last race to be held in Misano on October 13th.
Thanks to the partnership with Virgin Radio il Moto Guzzi Village, mounted in the center of the plant, was the vital center of the party. On stage, welcomed by DJ Ringo, there were guests who talked about racing, travel and adventures. The test rides started from the Village and allowed more than 400 motorcyclists to try out all the models of the Moto Guzzi family on the beautiful roads surrounding Lake Como.
Il Historical Museum, which houses and preserves more than 150 historical models starting from racing motorcycles of the 50s, including the legendary 500 8-cylinder, was one of the attractions along with the historic wind tunnel while the assembly lines were taken by storm by visitors since Friday.
The Moto Guzzi plant in Mandello thus confirms itself as one of the symbolic places in the history of engines, among the most famous in the world. Moto Guzzi bikes have been produced here continuously since 1921, the year of its foundation. It is a site rich in history that has accompanied the Italian industrial development and the worldwide affirmation of the eagle brand. From here came mythical models such as the Falcone, the Galletto, the V7 family, the Le Mans sports cars and Imola up to the current, brand new and technologically advanced V7 III, V9, V85 TT and the California 1400 family. And here the racing Moto Guzzi were born, capable of dominating in the most glorious years of motorcycling, winning 15 world titles (8 riders and 7 manufacturers) in the World Championship.
