From Zero to Rally - The Advanced Course of Oscar Polli's Maxi-Enduro Freeracing School.

The didactic path for maxi-enduro continues with the Advanced Course of the Cross and Enduro Freeracing School by Oscar Polli.

And I wondered what am I doing on the Cross track at 42? Oscar and his boys will make it clear to us shortly, all qualified instructors with many years of experience.

Let's start with the basics, all on the dirt track, picking up where we started in basic course. At this lap the bar obviously raises and finally starts to run faster.

Le brake are more determined, you try many times to stop in ever smaller spaces (which I never would have thought off-road). It turns between obstacles that vary with each step (the instructors had a lot of fun moving the pins treacherously), it seems like a game but every time you find yourself facing a different trajectory and braking, as in the real enduro but with the "safety" of the dirt track.

Let's review the position and movements of the body, now in action between the curves of the track, on the smallest bumps, where to understand the dynamics of climbs and descents, between earth and the dangers of mud.

In addition, feeling like a cross rider for a day is always a good feeling, even if we have the agility of a panda.

The second half day moves to the more technical side of the circuit. The climbs are steeper, as are the descents and passages studied by Oscar. We stop to refine the technique, the posture, understand why your hands or legs hurt and where you are wrong.

We are at the end of the day, cooked but very happy. I can honestly say that I have totally new and safe control of my bike. The automatisms have to be refined, of course, but they have become precisely such: without thinking about it I move and do everything that I have been taught and that the off-road vehicle requires from the driver.

The next appointment is always here in Santhià, but finally off-road in all respects! For more information on the school, on corsi and on tour di Freeracing click here.
