Bobber style
The new Harley-Davidson Softail Standard offers a riding experience in true Harley-Davidson style: sinuous Bobber profile, dynamic performance of the Harley-Davidson Softail frame and unstoppable power of the Milwaukee-Eight® V-Twin powertrain.
The classic Vivid Black is illuminated by brilliant chrome and glossy finishes. The Softail Standard model is a motorcycle Harley-Davidson presented in its purest essence.
The contrast between black and glossy components gives the Softail Standard a look that is both classic and essential. Available exclusively in Vivid Black, the Softail Standard model features a solo seat with short rear fender and 13-liter fuel tank that lets the frame and engine stand out. The powertrain draws attention with the all-black Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, enhanced by polished elements. A round air cleaner cover draws attention to the powertrain even more. The 2-into-2 chrome exhaust emphasizes the long, low profile that characterizes the Softail range.
Spoked chrome wheels (19-inch front and 16-inch rear) offer an aggressive and dazzling style. The fully polished front brings out the black of the bike and details such as the headlight and fender.
The mini-ape handlebar allows the rider to stay in the “fists to the wind” position. The instrumentation electronics compact with digital display is positioned in the handlebar riser and makes the front design of the bike even cleaner and tidier.
The solid Softail base
The Harley-Davidson Softail frame gives the Softail Standard model incomparable strength. The steel structure is optimized to give it rigidity and lightness. The firmly anchored powertrain further improves chassis rigidity. The Softail swingarm is designed to be stiff, allow for dynamic riding and help give the look of a classic hardtail frame.
La suspension rear features a spiral monoshock with emulsion technology, hidden under the saddle. Suspension preload adjustment is done simply by removing the saddle to access the shock body. The front suspension with dual bending valve technology responds quickly to inputs to improve braking performance and handling. Front and rear disc brakes deliver safe stopping power.
The Milwaukee-Eight power
The Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-Twin engine delivers inspiring performance and the classic Harley-Davidson look, sound and emotion. Balancing countershafts reduce primary vibrations to a minimum to improve rider comfort. Four-valve cylinder heads provide ample airflow allowing for a 10,0: 1 compression ratio for ever-intense, rewarding torque and acceleration.
