Weightless: the new line of semi-rigid motorcycle suitcases is back in the foreground, launched by GIVI at the latest edition of EICMA.
At the moment, a pair of side panels and a top-case are part of it. They adopt the MONOKEY fastening system and are characterized by an appreciable lightness not only in the saddle. The design is interesting, making the line immediately recognizable.
The GIVI brand, which has always been riding (and anticipating) trends in luggage transport solutions in motorcycle e scooter, arrives on the market with the new and super-light semi-rigid WEIGHTLESS: the pair of side cases WL900 and the top-case WL901.
What makes them different from other preformed models already present in the range?
First of all, the presence of the Monokey coupling system, the one that equips the "high" range of the brand's rigid suitcases, and again the characteristics linked to the top-case: the first not to follow the path of the classic rigid models and to be able to extend its capacity internal. The secret of WEIGHTLESS lies in the material they have in common, ABS, a mix of lightness and rigidity worked through a thermoforming process, which gives the bags full load capacity. The aerodynamic design and sleek lines contribute to improving the performance of these "new entries", as well as making them particularly suitable for sports and naked.
1Side cases WL900
Sold in pairs, they have an internal capacity of 25 liters each, and are compatible with the tubular luggage racks of the series: PL_ _ _, PLR_ _ _, PLO_ _ _, PLOR_ _ _.
To characterize them are the soft touch interior, the mesh pocket, the elastics to secure the load and the handle for carrying by hand. The refined aesthetic does not go unnoticed, embellished by the diamond texture of the outer shell and the logo made on a silver chrome injection badge. The WL900s are fixed to the frame mounted on the bike using Security Lock locks. The opening and closing of the suitcase is instead entrusted to the sturdy zip that runs centrally with sliders that can be locked by a combination padlock integrated as standard.
2WL901 top case
The peculiarity of this top-case, as we anticipated, lies in its ability to increase the internal volume from 29 to 34 liters, enough to comfortably hold a modular helmet. This feature is made possible by the opening of the accordion zipper, which conceals an extension in 600D polyester fabric. Compatible with all Monokey plates, the WL901 is fixed and closed in the same way as already described for the side plates. Among the characterizing elements we point out the comfortable handle for carrying by hand and the elegant aesthetic details that identify the line.
