The natural evolution of the popular SG12 is a high-performance boot, capable of combining Made in Italy craftsmanship with cutting-edge materials and technical solutions.
The first innovation concerns the hull. The new 3D Main Body Toe Box adopts a three-dimensional construction characterized by a single junction element positioned on the outside near the closing lever. This conformation makes it possible to reduce the height between the sole and the rear derailleur, increasing the speed of shifting.
The levers Aluminum Superlight Buckles they stand out thanks to a new painted finish with visible details, but the improvements are not just aesthetic. In addition to the classic strap adjustment, in fact, the upper locking lever of the SG22 can be adjusted in three positions. A system that combined with the two positions guaranteed by the new front plate Frontal Shin Guard allows you to obtain multiple configurations to optimize the fit and allow easy insertion of the knee protectors. Two air intakes are located near the Front Plate and inside at the 3D channels they are designed to create cavities able to facilitate the evacuation of humidity and the dissipation of heat.
Also modified motion geometry to allow the boot to best "copy" the movements of the ankle. The objective of the Gaerne technicians is clear: to improve ergonomics without sacrificing safety. Here works the new Razorback equipped with a new design that helps to contain the overall weight of the boot.
The system Gaerne Dual Stage Pivot System 1.0 protects the ankle with two limit switches able to limit hyperextension and hyperflexion and lateral movements. In this area, in the internal part, the appreciated food is proposed again Memory foam 1.0. This injected material, immediately after wearing the boot, takes the shape of the ankle, stabilizing the whole foot which thus becomes one with the boot.
The upper in the internal area, in contact with the motorcycle, features rubber elements GripGuard 1.0 equipped with a compound developed with professional riders. Its function is twofold: protection and optimization of the friction coefficient to improve driving sensitivity.
The sole features double density inserts. Their position has been studied to guarantee grip and durability without forgetting traction and cushioning during walking. It is no coincidence, therefore, if the Microshock heel features a differentiated density compound designed to provide protection from micro-impact when cornering.
The new toe cap is inserted between the sole and the upper Steel Bumper 1.0. This steel insert makes it possible to reduce thickness, maintain the protective capacity unaltered and reduce weight.
Finally, unmistakable Goodyear Welted construction which distinguishes as per tradition the stivali Gaerne. This technique allows you to create a particularly solid and resistant structure. Durability thus becomes one of the strengths of every product dedicated to motocross also in relation to possibility of resoling (and thus give new life to the boot).
