The International Two-Wheel Exposition once again affirms its global leadership: + 38% overall attendance over 2021, growing numbers also for operators and the media.
The premises for success were already in the numbers of the opening: 1.370 brands present, 59% from abroad, representing 45 different nations.
As well as the six pavilions occupied in the Fiera Milano exhibition center in Rho (equal to +35% of the exhibition area in 2021) packed with visitors. But the confirmations of the EICMA EFFECT, the slogan used to promote the 79th edition of the international two-wheeler exhibition, arrived yesterday evening, when the gates closed: Milan is the undisputed world capital of the sector. At the end of the five days of exposure, EICMA totaled a significant +38% in overall attendance over the previous year. In particular, 82% of admission tickets were purchased online on the event's official website, while 18% of the public opted for the physical ticket office.
The numbers linked to the business sector are impressive: 38.747 operators in the sector (+35% on 2021) visited the Exhibition, of which more than 51% came from abroad. The data concerning the presence of the media is also growing: over 6900 accredited professionals (38% foreign) including journalists, influencers, technicians and communication professionals, who took advantage this year of the exclusive press day on Tuesdays and also reported during the show offered inside and outside the pavilions throughout the entire week of the exhibition.
“It is these numbers, the embrace of the general public, the massive presence of exhibitors who underlined their solid satisfaction and whom we thank for having always believed in EICMA, the international attractiveness and centrality, the positive increase of each performance – commented the president of EICMA SpA Pietro Meda – to affirm the unique value and the inescapability of our event. EICMA unquestionably remains in its place: on the highest step in the entire international scene. We will stay here, in Milan and on an annual basis, from here and for this reason we continue to work on 2023 to offer once again, also thanks to our partners and together with the whole industry, ever more engaging, contemporary and engaging visitor experiences" .
"Particularly thanks to the creation of new digital contents and services - added the CEO of EICMA SpA Paolo Magri - the opportunities to facilitate the meeting between supply and demand and facilitate the development of concrete business opportunities have increased dramatically , confirming EICMA as a unique place able to profitably unite B2B and B2C souls. The data concerning the presence of operators and the media, as well as the evident and enthusiastic influx of young people between the pavilions and in the external area, are for our industry two news extraordinarily positive, which strengthen our exhibition model as a tool at the service of companies, current and, above all, open to the future".
The appointment for EICMA 2023 is from 7 to 12 November.
