Unfortunately, the news of the ban on off-road activities for motorcycles is true, throughout Italy, without the possibility of appealing.
Published in the Official Gazette, the decree of 28 October regulates “off-road” traffic, effectively prohibiting motorcycles from any kind of recreational activity. At this link you will find the official text.
Let's name those who signed this decree: the Minister of Agricultural Policies, Stefano Patuanelli, the Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, and the Minister of Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani.
The decree, which you find at page 32 of the Official Gazette, regulates the viability of forest and forest-pastoral areas, allocating them to the exclusive use of tractors, agricultural machines and four-wheel drive vehicles, forbidding them to ordinary traffic.
The decree just signed unfortunately affects a sector that already suffers from many limitations with no holds barred, without probable knowledge of the numbers and the importance it has at national and international level.
Unfortunately, the terms of the “vacatio legis” expire on December 16, that is the period in which the decree is not yet law, but if no one intervenes, it will be in two days to all intents and purposes.
We therefore await the developments and interventions of ANCMA and FMI and other Ministers, in the hope that they will be more competent and perhaps passionate enduro riders.
