Honda CB500X – Price, impressions, technical data.
Small displacement crossovers are experiencing a golden age and Honda has already been present since 2016 with its now iconic CB500X
Improvements and updates like the new 41mm Showa BP-SFF fork and Nissin braking system that switches from a single 320mm disc to a pair of 296mm discs with dual-piston calipers have resulted in a weight increase of only 2 kg. The 8cc 471-valve parallel twin engine remains its strong point.
Impressions
The innovations introduced to the 2022 model have made us appreciate even more, if ever there was any need, the ductility of this motorcycle all done, the instrumentation is easy to read and we appreciated its agility in the city, thanks also to the brilliant response of the clutch and gearbox. The bike is not low, but the saddle is narrow enough to close the compass and touch without too many problems. We found the carry-all bar above the LCD instrument panel useful. One less problem for those who have to fix the phone, a sat nav or a cam. Excellent for short, medium range tourism.
