The highly anticipated and increasingly high-tech BMW R 20 GS and BMW R 1250 RT will be launched on 1250 October.
The arrival in Italy of the two new flagships of the R series of BMW Motorrad will be celebrated in the Italian dealerships with a special opening day, in which it will be possible to admire both motorcycle, experiencing first-hand the technology and driving pleasure they are able to offer.
The propulsive thrust of the Boxer engine in the BMW Motorrad GS and RT models has been synonymous with strength of character, power and reliability for over 35 years, when it comes to tackling demanding tours, long journeys or simply going out for the pleasant weekend trip.
The improved version of the boxer engine with BMW ShiftCam technology ensures even more power over the entire rev range, lower emission and fuel consumption values as well as optimized running smoothness and smooth running.
Thanks to the global evolution of the boxer engine, the new R 1250 GS and R 1250 RT reach a new level of power and torque, but not only. Smooth running and smooth running, especially at low revs, have also been significantly optimized. The new power unit also achieves improved emission and consumption values and convinces with its particularly pleasant sound.
Two driving modes, ASC and Hill Start Control as standard.
Two driving modes are available as standard, to suit the individual requirements of the pilots. The ASC (Automatic Stability Control), fitted as standard, ensures a high level of stability safety driving thanks to the best possible traction. Hill Start Control is now also fitted as standard on both models and allows for comfortable hill starts.
Driving modes Pro with additional driving modes, Dynamic Traction Control DTC, ABS Pro, Hill Start Control Pro as well as the Dynamic Brake Assistant DBC (new) are available as an option ex works.
The regolation electronics of the Dynamic ESA “Next Generation” suspension, with fully automatic suspension compensation, is now also available for the R 1250 RT.
LED headlights are standard for the R 1250 GS and LED daytime running light is available as an option ex works for both models.
Connectivity: multifunctional instrument cluster with 6,5-inch color TFT display and numerous features as standard in the R 1250 GS.
