The engines warm up for the start of Benelli Week 2019, an event dedicated to all fans of the Casa del Leoncino, scheduled this year from 16 to 22 September in Pesaro.

The event, organized by the Benelli Historical Register, Motoclub Benelli and Benelli QJ, is dedicated to the great Kel Carruthers, who in 1969 was world champion riding the four-cylinder Benelli 250 and which this year celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of his victory.

The pilots who made the history of Benelli

Just for the occasion, the Australian driver will honor all the fans of the Casa del Leoncino with his presence at Pesaro: "I was very pleased to receive the invitation to be present at Benelli Week 2019 - he says - and I am honored to be able to take part in the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of my victory of the world championship with the Benelli 250. For me it was an honor to win in the same year, 1969, both in the championship and in theIsle of Man: a fair reward for the effort of the Benelli team. I can't wait to hug all the friends of Benelli, the Benelli Historical Register and the Motorcycle Club and thank Luciano Battisti (known collezionista pesarese) taking care of my beloved Benelli 250 four-cylinder racing car and that, precisely for this event, he will put it back at my disposal ”.

During Benelli Week even the unforgettable will be remembered Ted Mellors, British pilot that in 1939 (80 years ago) triumphed at the legendary Tourist Throphy of the Isle of Man with the 250 twin shaft of the Pesaro house. Also during the event, the thirtieth anniversary of the birth of the Benelli Historical Register will also be celebrated, a great pride of the city of Pesaro and of all fans of Italian motorcycling.
