Benelli's medium tourer the TRK 502 (in road and offroad versions), the best-selling bike of 2020, features many new features for 2021.
The little big maxi-enduro or crossover really surprised everyone and silenced those who did not believe in the potential of a historic brand reborn in the land of the East, especially when it entered the Italian market with very competitive prices.
The Benelli TRK 502, after the resounding success of 2020 with 3.569 motorcycle registered, presents for 2021 the update of Euro 5 homologation which introduces targeted improvements to the technical package of the bike. Just revised in details and finishes to ensure the highest quality standards, the new one TRK502X it will be available in all dealerships starting early this year.
The design is entrusted to enterprising and expressive lines, which surprise at first sight, especially thanks to a tank which offers a capacity of 20 liters, an optical group mainly a ice, with an exciting design and a front fender capable of dominating the scene. The frame is a tubular trellis with a high strength steel plate. The suspensions offer maximum comfort to rider and passenger, thanks to an upside-down fork with 50 mm stanchions, with an excursion of 140 mm in front and a swingarm with central single shock absorber adjustable in spring preload and hydraulic brake in extension, with a 45 mm excursion. This two-wheeler from the Casa del Leoncino offers all-round comfort, thanks also to a fairing wide and slender, able to perfectly protect both rider and passenger, in any riding position.
TRK 502 X presents a setting suspensions composed of an upside-down fork with 50 mm stanchions at the front with 140 mm travel and at the rear a swingarm with central single shock absorber with adjustable rebound and compression hydraulics and spring preload (62 mm travel) to absorb road sections more disconnected with the greatest ease. TRK 502 X also features a terminal exhaust system with a refined style and positioned in a raised position compared to the TRK 502 road version, to tackle even the most bumpy road sections without problems. THE spoke circles 19 "at the front and 17" at the rear, in aluminum alloy, respectively tyres 110/80 and 150/70 thus ensuring greater safety even in the most difficult situations. In addition to the large windshield, able to guarantee maximum protection to the rider, we also find the handguards with aluminum insert and customized with the motorcycle logo and the central stand.
Revised in details and finishes, TRK 502 presents new graphics and new plastic textures, for a more modern and captivating look. As happened for the “X” version, the command blocks handlebar now backlit. Changes also for the mirrors and for knobs (elements both embellished with the TRK logo) and for the handlebars, updated in shape, color and graphics, which can now be adjusted according to the needs of the individual rider, as well as the clutch levers. Also new is the rear rack, in aluminum, which has a new, more modern and ergonomic design. News also regarding the saddle, now more comfortable and spacious to allow maximum comfort for rider and passenger.
Il engine, now updated according to the Euro 5 standard, is the well-established 500cc liquid-cooled four-stroke twin cylinder, developed by Benelli for its latest creations, fueled by injection electronics, with double overhead camshaft distribution and 4 valves. The maximum power is 47,6 CV (35 kW) at 8500 rpm, the torque of 46 Nm (4,6 kgm) at 6000 rpm, synonymous with great fluidity in all conditions, now updated according to the new Euro 5 standard. Also in this case, as happened in the TRK 502 X, the engine has undergone modifications to the exhaust system to comply. The transmission ratio has also been shortened primary, in order to guarantee a prompt response of the engine in all conditions. Finally, the calibration of the engine ECU has been modified and optimized, to allow adisbursement smoother.
Stability and precision are two keywords of the TRK 502, as is the attention to safety. Excellent performance of thebraking system modular, thanks above all to the double 320 mm diameter semi-floating front disc and four-piston caliper and the 260 mm diameter rear disc with single-piston caliper. The 17 ”aluminum alloy rims mount tyres 120 / 70-17 and 160 / 60-17 for the road version.
And to travel freely, with maximum comfort, the TRK 502 has a range accessories dedicated, among which we find sets of suitcases in aluminum and top case, windscreen increased e terminal aftermarket developed in collaboration with Arrow. TRK 502 also offers the predisposition for the installation of spotlights fog lights, bars of protection fairings and engine (as an alternative to the original series) e knobs reheat.
Price and colors
Both Benelli TRK 502, street and X, in Euro 5 version will be proposed in the color White ed anthracite, at the unchanged price of € 5.990 fc During the year, TRK 502 X it will be marketed, in a limited series, also in the yellow color.
