The new Benelli Leoncino 2020 Trail is coming in 800. Off-road soul, in pure Leoncino style.

Benelli presents at EICMA 2019 the new Leoncino 800 Trail, a motorcycle with a typically off-road vocation, enhanced by the double high exhaust and the 19 "wheel at the front, which enriches the range of the Pesaro with a proposal designed to emphasize the authenticity of the concept that is the basis of the Leoncino line. A “modern-classic” two-wheeler that becomes sporty and dynamic, in an all-round evolution, yet capable of sharing avant-garde technical and stylistic elements with the road 800.

Il engine is the 754cc liquid-cooled four-stroke twin cylinder, also offered on the Leoncino 800, capable of delivering a power of 81,6 HP (60 kW) at 9000 rpm and a torque of 67 Nm (6,8 kgm) at 6500 rpm, to ensure maximum performance and fun even off-road. The distribution is double overhead camshaft, 4 valves per cylinder, double throttle body with a 43 mm diameter. The clutch with torque assist and slipper function is in an oil bath, the 6-speed gearbox.

La cycling on the other hand, it has been revised to be able to better tackle even more off-road routes, where to overcome the roughness of the terrain. The frame is a tubular trellis with steel plates, shared with the road version, capable of guaranteeing handling and agility on the road. On the other hand, the suspension department has been updated: the Marzocchi up-side down front fork with 50 mm diameter stanchions, adjustable in rebound, compression and preload, increases travel from 130 mm on the road to 140 mm on the Trail. The same update also at the rear, where we find a swingarm with central mono adjustable in the spring preload and hydraulic brake in extension, which also increases the wheel travel (140 mm), thus raising the seat from 800 mm of the road to 818 mm of the Trail. To complete the picture of technical updates, also the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR knobby tires 120/70 19 "at the front and 170/60 17" at the rear. Brembo braking system shared with the Leoncino 800, a maximum guarantee safety, with a double 320 mm diameter semi-floating front disc and four-piston radial monobloc caliper, and a 260 mm diameter rear disc with dual-piston caliper.

To characterize Leoncino 800 Trail ambitious and refined stylistic elements, typically off-road, such as the high windshield positioned above the full led headlight, which features the typical arched element of the Leoncino line. To draw the silhouette of the bike and to give it a rally soul, also the new double high side exhaust, developed especially for the Trail version, as well as the number holder and heat shield positioned on the side, designed to accentuate its off-road spirit. In sharing with the Leoncino 800, we find the muscular and sculpted lines of the steel tank, created to enhance the power and dynamism of the bike, where we find the stylistic element of the arch, but this time embellished with two tank bumpers. The Trail version also offers state-of-the-art instrumentation, again in TFT, for a dashboard with a modern and authentic design. The saddle is designed to ensure maximum comfort even on the most difficult routes. Under the saddle, in continuity with the Leoncino 800, we find an aluminum side panel designed to embed the Leoncino logo. On the fender, the Lion that stands out, typical of the range.
