The first edition of the Andalucía Rally held in Spain, the key test for qualifying for the Dakar 2021, ended yesterday.
The last special was dominated by the Australian Daniel Sander who beat his opponents in the last timed section, putting drivers of the caliber of Toby Price and Matthias Walkner behind him. Lorenzo Piolini closes his international race, the first of this level, in ninth absolute position for what concerns the rookies and that is the rookies. In the ranking reserved for the drivers who participated this year in the Road to Dakar Piolini is 12th while in Rally 2 his final position was 22nd.
Lorenzo is now on his way to return to Italy but at the end of the race he confirmed his satisfaction and happiness for having reached a goal that initially did not seem so obvious.
